Would You Wear Gold Platforms Like Heather Graham’s?

Forget her short dress! How Heather Graham even managed to walk the length of the SAG red carpet in her sky-high Versace heels is still a mystery to us (maybe she took flats or slipped them off under the table?). The Bobby actress even joked about them in the pre-show, calling the super-high platforms “stripper shoes.” Hmm. Perhaps it’s okay to go over the top to an awards show, but we can’t imagine wearing them out for just a regular night on the town. Tell us: What do you think of these platform heels? Will you be wearing them?

If you love ‘em, we’ve rounded up a few styles that are pretty similar to Heather’s.

Marc by Marc Jacobs square buckle and T-strap satin lightweight platform sole, $345, nordstrom.com

BCBGirls Women’s Rinaldo Platform Slingback gold crisscross toe with buckle accents, $110,

Dr. Scholl’s Swivel platform peep-toe metallic slingback with cushioned footbed, $70, piperlime.com

I’d fall wearing them!

Meg

these completely clash with the soft, romantic dress… i don’t know if she was trying to be trendy or fashion forward or what, but it’s a very bad look.

Frab

UGLY. That’s all I can say.

are there a lot of strippers out there wearing versace shoes?

Never EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

michele.

i have a thing for platforms even though im fairly tall myself ,, so YES!!

Personally, I do not like the shoes and would not wear them. They are too flashy for me. As for Heather Graham, she seems like a fun-loving, crazy sort of girl. I think they suit her well. And they are D&G after all. You average pole dancer does not wear designer shoes!

Tina

Personally, I would not wear them to an awards show, but it is good to she that she did not take herself too seriously and had fun with fashion. That is what fashion should be all about!

Heather S.

Hmmm… they do kind of look like stripper shoes. And with such a pretty, feminine dress, I’m sure she had better choices.

Regardng the other shoes, I would probably buy the BCBG pair in a moment of weakness and then never find anything to wear with them…

While those shoes are cute, you have to be prepared for the discomfort! Platforms are the most uncomfortable shoes ever (well, next to stilettos). More power to Heather for trying something different!
