Life After Project Runway: Michael Knight for Starbucks!

From Project Runway to Starbucks? No, fan favorite Michael Knight hasn’t ditched designing to become a barrista — he’s hooked up with the coffee giant to create t-shirts celebrating the chain’s drinks, from lattes to frappucinos (check out the Grande Extra Caramel Macchiato tee he’s wearing). Available on their website in February, Knight says he took the project to give something to his fans since he is “still trying to work on my line so it’s a neat way to kind of make that happen.” Ahem, about that collection? “I’m going to do a small collection which I’ll be showing on my website. And then I’m working on a fragrance i[for women].” While in L.A. promoting the t-shirt collaboration, Knight caught up with fellow Runway-er Tim Gunn. And don’t be surprised if you see a star or two in his designs — he tells PEOPLE that he is “trying to do some things with Mary J. Blige and Kelis and Rachel Bilson.” We can’t wait!

I LOVE Michael Knight! Im so gald to hear things about him and hope that he does VERY well with fashion in the future!! MICHAEL ROCKS!! Also he totally should have won P.R.!

I don’t want to be snarky, but designing T-shirts for Starbucks doesn’t seem like the most artistic of endeavors. (On the other hand, I’ll bet Starbucks is paying Michael enough big bucks to keep him in Grande Lattes for quite a while! ) Let’s hope Michael doesn’t totally sell out and eventually goes back to designing hip sportswear for his female fans. One can only hope . . .

I’m Happy for him. Sometimes it’s good when people don’t win on a reality show I think they have a better and longer lasting career then the person who won. I loved Michael and I hope he is very succesful…I will probably buy one of those shirts. Can’t WAIT!!!!

As a Starbucks employee and HUGE fan of Project Runway, I can say that I am soo excited for these shirts to come out! Michael was my favorite last season, so I am glad to see him do something that I can actually wear, not to mention afford!!

No haters please! He is still getting a chance of a life time, to design T- shirts for Starbucks because it’s a billion dollar corporation, and second he still get’s exposure for the work he’s doing, so you go boy!!!

Michael Knight is the hotness! He should have won on Project Runway. I can’t believe they picked Rocker Dude. Michael has such great potential to go so far. I hope he comes out with a line of clothes I can afford to buy.
