I live in Spanx. I wear either their Power Panties or Higher Power literally all the time. I can see why the stars love them, because they work. They have made it possible for me to expand my wardrobe options enormously. I can wear straight skirts, knits, dresses! I no longer have to worry about certain figure issues that used to keep me from being able to wear what I wanted to wear. I even wear them with fuller skirts that don’t require them because they simply make me feel good. They’re terrific.

Sienna Miller is a beautiful girl so please don’t take this badly. I personally think the dress overwhelms her small frame. The colours look very nice with her skin tone but the dress is not flattering at the waist. I feel it wopuld would have looked better on curvy Halle Berry or super tall Nicole Kidman. Whereas other dresses would look best on Sienna Miller. It’s not a bad thing or meant to come across as mean, it’s just that certain outfits suit us better than others. I also wish her hair would have been a little more golden globes than sundance style, a litle fancier. But it’s also in the eye of the beholder. So no offense intended. I’ve seen Spanx advertised, I’m sure they are a great product and a lot of hardworking women deserve to have something to help them feel extra good in their clothing but why oh why do some celebs need spanx when they have their own personal trainer???
(I know not all celebs have a personal trainer)

Sienna Miller - What made you think you looked fabulous wearing that dress?

Her hair looks really bad. She looks like a grandma. SEriously..the dress isn’t that great either.

All of the stars swear by Spanx for one reason….they work!!!!! There is a cheaper version by the same creator of Spanx found in Target stores so don’t despair if you don’t have lots of money to part with. Personally, I’m not a big fan of Sienna Miller (or her style) but at least she goes out looking different than all of the other stars. Who isn’t bored by the casual upsweep of hair and strapless gown??!!

You can get Spanx at Nordstrom. They run up to about $75, which really isn’t that expensive, since they would be good investments

Heather: You can get Spanx at Nordstrom and you can get them at quite a few places online. The Power Panties which extend from waist to midthigh cost $ 25 and the Higher Power cost $ 34. These are what I wear. These are somewhere between very firm control top pantyhose and a girdle. There are thicker and more controlling Spanx that are real girdles and they do run up to about $ 75. I have one of thesecalled the Spanx Hide and Sleek bodysmoother and that is $68. It’s really amazing and I recommend it as a dress-up garment but not for everyday. Spanx aren’t cheap. I hear that Target has a cheaper version of the Spanx line but I haven’t tried them yet.

Hey if spanx is going to hide my extra love around the edges, so be it. But let’s not hate on Sienna Miller, she
actually looks pretty descent in this picture. Her hair looks a little Heidi-ish, but that’s what makes her special.
You don’t always have to get your hair done the way the public thinks you should.
