Get Beach Hair From a Bottle!

Courtesy of Frederic Fekkai

Upon being told recently that my hair looked “windblown — in a good way,” I couldn’t help but laugh — the air conditioning in my office is strong, but not that strong. Thanks to a few key products, I’ve mastered the art of beach hair when the furthest I’ve gone is to the corner deli. Bumble & bumble Surf Spray, $24, is an old favorite — it imparts the feeling (and light smell) of saltwater in your hair. But I’ve recently discovered Frederic Fekkai Summer Hair Beach Waves spray, $20, which gives soft texture and a whiff of old-fashioned sunblock to my natural waves. If sprays aren’t for you, check out Kusco-Murphy Beach Hair, $29, which even has bits of crushed bamboo in it! If only faking the perfect beach body was as easy. . . — Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

I just bought Frederic Fekkai’s product that’s featured here and it’s mediocer. Just know that it works with your natural waves, so if you have naturally straight hair, as I do it doesn’t do much. I used it while my hair was dry and it gave me more of a “sex hair” look than the wavy “beach hair” that I was expecting. Maybe it’ll be different if I try it on my hair when it’s damp….

I don’t think i could get the whole “beach hair” look since, sadly, my hair is straight with no wave whatsoever.

I just bought this and it’s pretty good. I have naturally curly hair and I sprayed it on my damp hair this morning and no frizz at all. The smell is great also, just like suntan lotion. It’s a bit pricey but for those who live with humid weather, it’s worth the investment.

or yuo could put lemon juice on your head and sit in the sun. thats the NATURAL way!!!!!!

but no you have to get all scientific, OR you could just be yourself and not change the color of your hair!
