Shopping Alert: Alice Temperley for Target

British designer Alice Temperley, known for her intricate detailing and beautiful prints, has joined the ranks of other high-end designers like Paul & Joe, Proenza Schouler and Behnaz Sarafpour to create a collection of sportswear and accessories for Target’s Go! International program. Boasting lots of ruffles and bows, the pieces are feminine with a little edge. We love the Cotton Voile Ruffle Top, $25, which would go perfectly with the Crepe Wide Leg pants, $40. And the Striped Wide Belt, $15 is so on trend. Although her pricier line has loads of celeb fans like Gwyneth Paltrow, Charlize Theron, Kiera Knightley, Julia Roberts, and more, stars love her Target line too. Mandy Moore has already scooped up the Long-Stitch Cardigan, $45, in grey which will be available online next week. Click here to see the whole collection.

I was actually disappointed when I saw the clothes in person. The fabric quality was poorer than previous GO designers. They looked so much better in the photos than in real life!

The sweater dress on the left is a part of the GO: International Alice Temperley for Target collection (it was in the People Stylewatch magazine last month), and will be $49.99. I’m a HUGE fan of the GO collections (Luella Bartley in 2006 was my favorite), and typically they come out with about half the collection, and halfway through its run, they come out with the other half. Alice Temperley is available from September 16 through November 6.
On Target’s corporate site, under Pressroom, and Fashion, you can check out the news releases, which often contain images, of looks from upcoming collections. Once the images are up they include prices.
The designer right after Alice Temperley is Erin Fetherston (those images on the the corporate site) and after that, Jovovich-Hawk. The collection are usually available for a 90-day period, but a few have only been available for 60 days. After the next designer is released, Target.com has the previous designer on clearance, though the selection is obviously limited. In Target stores, as they’re moving stuff out, you can often get a better markdown than online.
