Lately, it’s felt like every star is hopping on the bandwagon to start their own clothing line — from Matthew McConaughey to Heidi Montag, the list is getting never ending. But several style icons tossed their names into the ring last week, and they’ve got us wondering whose line will be most successful in the end. Lindsay Lohan, who’s designing a line of leggings, is known for her casual cool and red carpet sex appeal, while Rachel Bilson (who’s teaming up with DKNY Jeans) has impeccable street style and understated evening looks. As more and more celebrities take on design lines — today alone, it’s Rachel Bilson and Whitney Port! — we have to wonder what what qualifies Hollywood stars (who all have stylists) to be designers. But when we heard that Lindsay Lohan is designing a line of leggings, we knew she had the experience to do it. In fact, Lindsay has made the stretchy pants her her style signature — at one point, she was photographed in leggings for 21 days straight! Her rep confirms that Lindsay is doing the line, but no other details are available at this point. We’ll just have to keep watching Lindsay to see when she debuts the new line on herself. We’ve seen Lindsay Lohan with dark hair before — and blonde and red! — but we still couldn’t help but take a closer look when she stepped out yesterday in Los Angeles with mysterious new dark hair (we’re guessing it’s a wig!). The shoulder-length cut, the sideswept bangs and the dark color add up to a style we just haven’t seen Lindsay try out before. Is it a look worth making permanent? We want to know what you think!
